Imagine the feeling if your sons means of communication flys off your car while driving to the airport?

Scary huh? It happened.

This morning Cody and I were headed to the airport to drop off my older son and husband for a baseball tournament.

My husband strapped Cody into his seatbelt, loaded the luggage and off we went!
We were halfway to the airport and my husband quickly noticed that he could not find Cody‘s communication device.
We were sitting at a signal light and as the light changed green,  my oldest son said, “Well Dad, it has to be on the workbench in the garage or on top of the car.”
The panic set in…..
Have we done a back up? Will it be tough to set up the extra iPad?
Seconds later, you heard this thump… thump….. thump… I look in the rear view mirror and my heart just dropped. There goes Cody’s iPad right  in the middle of the intersection!
The next 30 seconds was a blur but somehow I managed to quickly get over, find a place to turn around, sped up and turned on my hazards and got us back to that intersection.
My husband was already jumping out before the car was in park. He stopped the rest of the traffic picked up the three pieces the communication device was in.
Ran back to the car for us to quickly discover that the casing was fine and was able to put back together and the iPad was in perfect condition!
How someone never ran over it I will never know…. or did they? What a morning… We did all finally start laughing the rest of the drive.
Had to share because this case is the bomb. My mother in law literally had to make a custom strap because we did not want to change the casing….. It has paid for itself time after time with how often he drops it or cars run over it!
